about me

I have been in business for myself since 2002, and despite the extra hard work (it's more than a 9-5 job) I wouldn't trade it for anything!
Like many people, I didn't find my true calling (graphic design) until about 10 years after college. I graduated with a B.S. in office/business administration and positions I held included: marketing secretary, office manager, marketing coordinator, webmaster,
channel/field marketing associate, database administrator, real
estate assistant and more. And if it weren't for the many opportunities I was given in various
industries, and in multiple capacities, I wouldn't be where I am today.
Mostly by the necessity of my employers, I was thrown projects that taught me how to create dynamic PowerPoint presentations, various marketing materials and print collateral. I had no idea how to develop a website and the internet was a relatively new thing in the mid '90s. I didn't want anything to look amateur—I wanted my company to stand out, so I taught myself many tricks of the trade and how to create eye-catching, visually appealing graphics.
Many of my clients are startup companies with a tight budget. My rates are very competative and I often give them advice as to the most efficient and economical way to accomplish their goals—even if it involves another service provider. I like for them to be able to do certain things on their own and not have to rely on me. (That way I can slip in a vacation once in awhile!)
Many thanks to those who have contributed to my success and to those who are taking the time to learn about me and what I have to offer. Thanks for visiting!

method of operation
My design process is built around fundamentals that are structured to keep things simple, quick and cost effective. If there is a better way of accomplishing your objectives that would include using another service, I will let you know right off.
Rates
Projects are now given a lump sum estimate based on my $40 hourly rate. Logos are $300.
Time is Money!
For efficiency, please be aware of common time hogs that include:
- Stock photo searches. I enjoy looking for that perfect photo, but economically, it would be better for you to select your own. The best resource is istockphoto.com.
- Phone calls can take twice as long, and I'm not a good note-taker. Please email or fax whenever possible.
- Logo reconstruction.
Please email your logo in its original format like an .eps, .ai, or .tif. Not a low resolution .gif or .jpg unless that is all you have.
New Rules
- There is a 15 minute minimum for any work, including website maintenance.
- New clients must pay 25% up front.
